Abstract
"All my life I had to fight!". We all know the movie The Color Purple, but have we ever considered the theory behind it? In this session, the presenters will discuss the collaboration of student engagement, the navigation of social conflict, and advocacy for Black women and femme-identified students. Come engage with Duke University's Women's Center and Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture in a conversation about strategy, best practices, and space-making for our strongest yet most vulnerable population.
