Abstract
The Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program launched in 2015. Aiming to enhance health workforce diversity, “SSCCPP” leverages the California Community College system's rich diversity of human capital and significant proportion of underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students from historically marginalized backgrounds. SSCCPP provides immersive experiences, mentorship, and alumni engagement to usher participants into health careers, ultimately contributing to a more equitable healthcare workforce that reflects the community it serves. We will describe the program, its outcomes and challenges to date.
