Abstract
The ability to give and receive feedback is a crucial part of the leadership development process, yet many people find the process extremely difficult. In this session, presenters will equip you with the tools you need to have meaningful conversations with professional and student staff. Framing feedback discussions as a dialogue, we will examine ways to build trust and create a sense of safety for both the giver and receiver. We will also examine effective communication strategies within these dialogues and explore methods to foster constructive feedback experiences. Finally, the presenters will facilitate roundtable discussions that give participants opportunities to practice these skills using sample feedback scenarios.
