Abstract
Applying critical approaches to the design and delivery of leadership courses and programs is essential. Leadership educators must expand their expertise related to inclusive, equitable, and liberatory leadership. This interactive workshop invites participants to engage with ideas and pedagogies related to collegiate women and leadership education. The session considers concepts such as identity and intersectionality, gender socialization, imposter syndrome, effortless perfection, precarious pedestals, the effects of bias, and critical hope. Participants are invited to contribute ideas for the upcoming second edition of We Are the Leaders We’ve Been Waiting For: Women and Leadership Development in College (Owen, 2020/2026; Routledge).
