Abstract
Research on learner-centered pedagogy suggests the value of using a wide range of teaching strategies to facilitate and enhance student learning and engagement with the material (Cornelius-White, 2007; Haber-Curran & Dean-Scott, 2022). This is particularly pertinent to the applied discipline of leadership. In this interactive session, the presenter will share specific in-class learning activities to engage students with course content, encourage connection to foster relationship-building, and enhance student learning on leadership. Session takeaways will span curricular and co-curricular contexts and with consideration of various class/group sizes and formats. Attendees will leave with evidence-based and actionable strategies to implement to enhance student engagement, connection, and learning.
