Abstract
The session will discuss the emergence of a peer mentor leadership practice model that developed from a pilot study on the leadership experiences of peer mentors. Data from the study, as well as a case study using a peer mentor leadership model at the University of Tampa, will be shared in this session. Additionally, participants will explore their own work with peer mentor programs and the value of a model of leadership practice for such programs to help students become effective mentors and translate the experience to other opportunities, including career opportunities.
