Abstract
Educational leadership has historically excluded marginalized groups, neglecting cultural diversity and social justice, thus perpetuating systemic inequities. A shift towards equitable and just leadership practices is essential. Anti-racist and culturally relevant leadership education frameworks are proposed to challenge traditional norms and practices, offering insights into systemic leadership disparities. Critical self-reflection, as emphasized by Freire’s concept of conscientização, is crucial for addressing these inequities. This presentation will provide strategies, case studies, and activities to foster critical reflection and navigate power dynamics in leadership education.
