Abstract
This interactive breakout session is tailored to professionals seeking to enhance their strategic partnerships with community stakeholders and promote civic engagement. In this session, we’ll explore the power of collaboration in advancing our shared goals of student success, holistic development, and fostering civic responsibility. By integrating principles of civic engagement, we aim to strengthen connections between educational institutions and the broader community, fostering a sense of social responsibility among students. This initiative aligns with NASPA’s competencies by addressing areas such as ethical leadership, social justice advocacy, and community engagement. Participants will not only gain practical strategies for integrating civic engagement into their work, but they will also leave the session with an effective action plan to implement them. By the end of the session, individuals will be equipped to enrich the student experience and contribute to a more vibrant and inclusive society.
