Abstract
Parent and family engagement is nothing new on a college campus. However, as institutions emerge from the crisis phase of the COVID-19 global pandemic, family expectations of colleges and universities have changed from pre-pandemic levels. Single points of entry for parents and family members may not be realistic as they were pre-pandemic. Regardless of functional areas, mid-level student affairs administrators must not only be comfortable and confident in communicating with family members but also model this for their staff teams.
