Abstract

This session seeks to honor the stories of the Black women higher education leaders who have laid down their lives and/or careers for their institutions by contextualizing the impacts of race, gender, intersectionality and workplace culture that contribute to career burnout and early death. The presenters will provide evidence related to these contributing factors, as well as practical ways to combat this trend at individual institutions. Participants will be required to create a plan to support the success of women of color at their institutions.
