Abstract
Higher education institutions are increasingly called on to adopt trauma-informed practices. As the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, RAINN has expertise in building skills for trauma-based communication and care. This session provides a deep dive on the neurobiology of trauma, how it presents in young people, and skills for working with victims and communities experiencing trauma of all kinds. We will also provide strategies for promoting personal wellness and reducing the risks of vicarious trauma.
