Abstract
The Hazing Prevention Academy™ (HPA) is a program geared for professionals with a foundational or developing understanding of hazing and its prevention. Guided by the data-driven Hazing Prevention Framework (HPF), the HPA emphasizes HPF components of commitment, capacity, planning, and sustainability. The training includes assessment tools and introduces evaluated implementation strategies. It provides time to foster discussion and Q&A opportunities to explore how we can all influence prevention through research-based, collaborative practice.
Learning Outcomes- Explain how the Hazing Prevention Framework (HPF) can be used to guide hazing prevention while also cultivating more inclusive and safe campus environments.
- Describe the components of commitment and capacity building for campus hazing prevention and identify opportunities for building partnerships and coalitions for sustainable prevention initiatives.
- Utilize self-assessment tools and planning tool and resources to identify strategies to bolster commitment and capacity for comprehensive and sustainable campus hazing prevention.
