Abstract
In recent years, discussions regarding opioid overdose on campus have continued to become more commonplace, yet most institutions still lack robust programs for naloxone education and distribution. In March 2024, NASPA, HECAOD, and SAFE Project released a checklist to assist the development of strategic and sustainable opioid overdose prevention and response programs. In this session, after a short introduction of the checklist, participants will apply the framework to the unique dynamics and structures of their home institution.
Learning Outcomes
Assess own institution for completion of the items on the Opioid Overdose Prevention and Response checklist
Interpret unmet items from the checklist in ways that would apply to unique campus dynamics and structure
Identify 3 campus or community partners to begin developing/implementing unmet or insufficiently met checklist items
Certification Domains
Crisis and Risk Management, Financial and Facility Management
