Students report navigation of campus supports in times of crisis as a significant challenge. Unintentional systemic barriers exacerbate the issue, including: multiple campus websites with divergent purposes; limitations in the definition of crises; and stigma. The presenters will share a student-centered research, implementation, and evaluation effort to streamlining crisis navigation for students at CSU Fullerton. Attendees will analyze replicable insights that can be applied within their unique campus contexts.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will analyze trends in help-seeking behaviors among diverse campus and student groups, critically examining systemic and process-oriented barriers that prevent students from connecting with support in times of need.
Participants will explore innovative strategies, co-design principles, and inclusive evaluation methods to mitigate the barriers students face in connecting with appropriate support services.
Participants will use case studies to evaluate strategies for promoting campus and community resources and increasing equitable access of services among diverse student groups.
