As mental illness rates among college students continue rising, a public health approach using upstream prevention strategies is needed. The presenter will share research and innovative programming based on the dual continua model of mental health to help engage students, faculty, staff, and administrators. The programs covered boosted flourishing mental health and simultaneously reduced mental illness symptomology, allowing for positive impacts on students with various levels of mental health needs across the public health spectrum.
