Abstract
Secondary trauma may affect professionals who work with students managing difficult situations. The presenters will provide an overview of secondary trauma and its impact on student affairs professionals. Presenters will share the findings of a survey sent to professionals in January 2020, as well as a recent study conducted utilizing a different methodology in 2023. The presenters will provide information on signs of secondary trauma, strategies to cope with it, and organizational factors that can support the holistic wellness of employees.
